After the explanation, select the Clay Bottle from the nearby shelf to add the Fluorescent Liquid to your inventory. Select it in your inventory and choose to drink it.

After drinking, head to the left and interact with the Stone Pillar to sit on it.

You have three “runes”. The left is Wind, the middle is Sound and the right is Light. When you close your eyes, you need to wait about 20-30 seconds to hear/see a clue about which symbol to press. Sound is the only one that needs closed eyes; Light and Wind need open eyes. You have to go through three sets of identifying differences.

For the first set, Sound is hearing singing or a voice after 20-30 seconds when your eyes are closed. In the case of Light, you are looking for images like a spark of electricity or a bright light. For Wind, you are looking for images like wind patterns blowing in a direction, or a light swaying in the wind.

You need to hit the symbol as the phenomenon is happening, or else you will need to reset and start from the beginning.

In the second set, Sound is loud droplets of water (louder than usual). Wind is a small rope in the mid-upper right that is swaying. Light is a bright light on the right hand side.

In the third set, Sound will be a short groan/someone doing a quick whisper. Wind is when the fog direction changes (left to right changes to right to left, it is sudden and hard to miss if you are staring at the fog). Light is when there is a flash of light in the middle of the pond.

When all 3 sets are complete, you will be sent to a different realm. You can pick one of three objects.

The Glass Sphere represents space, the Hourglass represents time and the Figurine represents self.

If you pick the Figurine, the power you get depends on the ending card you got in the Desert Planet ruins. If you got Red you will get a card that gives complete damage protection with finite use count of 2. If you picked Blue a shadow version of your ship to assist you by mimicking your last action. These powers only activate during combat. If you walked away with just the fuel cell, the game won't let you pick Figurine, but you can load the Arrived To Desert Planet save, press the button before getting the fuel cell, then load the Xerum Am I Dreaming save, and the button's effect will be present.

If you pick the Glass Sphere, the location of Xerum will change, moving you into the Lymian Space sector and Xerum will now be between the planets Lyme and Fenton Perth.

If you pick the Hourglass, you will gain 25 more days of time (or as the in-game description puts it, time went back 25 days).

You will get 1 of 3 Ending Cards based on your choices.

If you picked the Figurine, you will get the “Space Entity!” Ending Card.

If you picked the Glass Sphere, you will get the “Space!” Ending Card.

If you picked the Hourglass, you will get the “Time!” Ending Card.

With your journey done, it is time to head to Nugget Node or Celic. If you picked the Glass Sphere and got "Space!", you can also make your way towards Fenton Perth. It may be out of the way, but it has some good items.
