Shadow of the Colossus is one of my favorite PS2 games. I bought it completely by chance, and it ended up being the kind of game that grabs you and leaves a lasting impression. The story begins with a young man who wants to bring his girlfriend back to life, but to do so, he must venture into a world filled with colossal titans that will push you to your limits as a player. An aura, or perhaps we could call it an entity, will bring the character's girlfriend back to life after he defeats 16 titans.
We will set out across the map in search of these titans, a fairly large map, but we will have two factors in our favor: a sword that is able to use sunlight to indicate the direction of the titan and the best horse of all called Agro.
The Titans have a single weak point, a glowing seal that's sometimes visible. You'll need to find it to whittle down their health until you can kill them, but don't think it will be easy. These weak points are usually located in places where you'll have to use your ingenuity to climb the Titan and reach them. In addition, you have a certain amount of stamina that will gradually increase, but you'll need to know how to move while fighting the Titan. Once your stamina is depleted, you'll fall. You must cling to the Titan at the right moments and rest when you can.
Each titan is unique, and every battle against them will be an experience that awakens all your senses. Whether underwater or in the air, you'll have to give it your all to defeat them. Their designs are phenomenal; in my opinion, they lend a mystical touch to the game with a dark focus, sparking your curiosity to learn more about them.
If you want to experience an adventure unlike anything you've ever played, Shadow of the Colossus is perfect for you. Its music, design, story, and epic battles will make you love it as much as I do. That's why I give it 10 points, and while it could be improved in many aspects, the fun it gave me years ago when I played it deserves a solid 10.
