0 A.D. is a Free, Open-Source, Historical Real Time Strategy (RTS) Game: Civilisations.

0 A.D. features the real-time strategy gameplay components of building a base, training an army, combat, and technology research.

The game is about economic development and warfare.

The game will include multiple units and buildings specific to each civilisation as well as both land and naval units.

Twelve different civilisations are available, which are each represented as they were at their apex.
During the game, the player does not advance through time, but from village phase over town phase to city phase.

The phases represent the sizes of settlements in history, and every phase unlocks new units, buildings and technologies.

Civilizations.

0 A.D. allows the player to control any of thirteen ancient civilisations from antiquity.

Athenians.

The Athenians represent the City-State of Athens and the allies influenced by them. 




Britons.

Carthaginians.

The Carthaginians, or Punics, were an ancient civilization centered on the Phoenician city-state of Carthage, located outside what is now Tunis, Tunisia. 

Gauls.

Gaul was a region of Western Europe during the Iron Age that was inhabited by Celtic tribes.

Iberians.

The Britons, also known as Celtic Britons or Ancient Britons, were Celtic people who inhabited Great Britain from the British Iron Age into the Middle Ages.

Kushites.


Macedonians.

The Macedonians are a Hellenistic faction originating from northeastern Greece around the Haliacmon valley, over time they came to expand and dominate Thrace and Illyria.

Ptolemaic Egyptians.

The Ptolemaic Kingdom was a Hellenistic kingdom in Egypt.

Seleucids.

The Seleucid Empire became a major center of Hellenistic culture.
